No. 2 The Home Opener 10/7/2017 vs Buffalo Sabres

The home opener game is the fans’ first glimpse at changes made during the off-season, first-hand and what to expect from the upcoming season. A clean slate for the players and the team.

In this home opener, we’ll see Jordan Eberle make his Islanders debut and our first look at what will hopefully be a deadly first line of Lee-Tavares-Eberle.

There isn’t a rivalry with the Sabres because well…its the Sabres. But they will be playing that outdoor game in Queens against the Rangers instead of a certain New York team that wear Blue and Orange.

We also get to welcome Jack Capuano back! Where did everyone go?

I’m sure the organization will have a moving tribute on the big screen to thank him for his service and all that jazz. But something tells me that the fans won’t be as forgiving to the Islanders former Head Coach.
