Josh Ho-Sang

He took the franchise and its fanbase by storm when he finally made his debut at the tail end of the 2016-17 NHL season.

Playing 21 games for the New York Islanders, Josh Ho-sang produced ten points and a number of highlight reel plays. He was everything the Isles fans were hoping for.

Unfortunately for Ho-Sang, he has no room for regression. After comments of being the best player in his draft class after three years (which has now passed). And after missing camp on day one two years ago, Ho-Sang can’t take a step back.

He’s been active on social media as of late, likely getting hyped for the start of the next season. And that’s great. And excited Josh Ho-Sang is going to be a good Josh Ho-Sang.

But a step back validates all of the pre-draft narratives that were written about him, and why he fell to 28th in the draft.

In this year’s scrimmage, Ho-Sang has to be a leader on the ice. Vocal, organized, and dynamic. He has to give everything and some. And let’s be fair, that shouldn’t be hard in what is a pre-camp-camp exhibition came.
