Kieffer Bellows

Drafted in the first round of the 2016 NHL draft, Kieffer Bellows has gone on the record to indicate that next season he wants to play in the NHL. He’ll take this season to condition, but next year he wants to be in the big league.

Bellows indicates that desire as the motivation for his move from Boston University to the Portland Winterhawks of the WHL. He just wants to play as much hockey as possible right now.

With B.U. he’d get about 30 games in during their NCAA season. But in the WHL, he’ll play a 72 game season with a chance to play some heavy minutes every night.

Tonight has to be one of those nights where Bellows is one of the more active players on the roster. He’s got to stand out amongst the other players on the ice.

It shouldn’t be hard, this is going to be a high scoring game. So let’s see Bellows use that NHL quality shot we’ve been hearing about since he was drafted two years ago.
