Kyle Palmieri

Palmieri is a local boy from Smithtown in Suffolk. He’s a RW with a right handed shot and he’s still only 26. Admittedly not too big at 5-10, 185 lbs, Palmieri is still a producer.

Last year Palmieri scored 26 goals with 27 apples in 80 games for New Jersey. He’ll be good help on the power play. Palmieri is signed for  four more years at $4.65 million.

New Jersey is in a rebuild, so they’ll probably accept youth and picks for the bulk of this package deal.

The Trade

Bailey had a good year, he’s still young, and New Jersey has plenty of cap space.

The Devils will want that first rounder for their rebuild, the other pick too.

Wotherspoon will be able to step up on defense in a year or two which is important because NJ needs more depth in their defensive pipeline.

We get a proven right handed scorer who will be a local hero.

Projected Forward Line-up

Lee – Tavares – Eberle

Ladd – Barzal – Palmieri

Nelson – Beauvillier – Ho-Sang

Chimera – Czikas – Clutterbuck
