New York Islanders All Long Island Starting Line Up

Forwards
Kyle Palmieri RW, Smithtown
Brandon Sutter C, Huntington
Kevin Labanc LW, Brooklyn
Brendan Sutter takes the center position on the line. With his nine years of NHL experience, he’s the also the veteran on the squad. His 228 points in 560 games are good, but nowhere near what the Isles currently get from their number one center.
You should recognize the family name. Brendon is the son of former New York Islanders captain Brent Sutter.
Kyle Palmieri takes the right-wing spot. Born in Smithtown, Palmieri has had a decent NHL career so far. Between the Anaheim Ducks that drafted him and the New Jersey Devils, Palmieri has put up 199 points in 360 games.
The speedy winger would make a nice addition to Sutter. And already the lineup looks like a bonafide NHL squad.
And then we get to Kevin Labanc. In his first year in the NHL, the 21-year-old Brooklyn native had 20 points for the San Jose Sharks. It’s not breakout player of the year worthy but put him alongside players like Palmieri and Sutter and he just might produce. Just.
