Josh Bailey: Perfect Health

Josh Bailey has already put together his second best season productivity-wise 36 games into the season. With 46 points through 36 games, he’s passed his 41 points from 2014-15 and is quickly approaching his current career year of 56 points from 2016-17.

At his current pace, he’ll get to 56 points in eight games. Just over the halfway mark of the season and still 38 games to be played. By season’s end, he’s on pace to hit 104 points. That’s outstanding for a player that was considered a bust just two years ago.

The only thing that could derail Josh Bailey’s season is through injury. So my gift to him is perfect health.

I want nothing to break Josh Bailey’s momentum this season. Whether it be the flu, an errant stick, a bad hit, nothing. This Christmas he gets a clean bill of health for the remainder of the season. It’s not much I know, but what do you give a guy whos on pace to pass the 100 point plateau?

Think of it as a forcefield that hovers over Bailey’s equipment. It’s silly I know. But we’re talking about giving out luck and clarity. The whole thing is silly.

Ideally, I want to extend this gift to the entirety of the New York Islanders top six players. But this is about one gift for one player.
