. . . anaheim ducks. 16. 105

The Ducks have made the playoffs six years in a row and are in a position to make seven. They are currently sitting in the second Wild Card spot. Rickard Rickell is leading the way in scoring with 29 points with John Gibson and Ryan Miller holding it down in net.

The Islanders are holding onto the second Wild Card spot in the East by just a thread. So far inconsistency and poor goalie play has held the team back from being a legit contender. Their top line has already combined for 138 points.

14. 120. . . . san jose sharks

For 17 of the last 19 years, the San Jose Sharks have made the playoffs. Coming off a first-round exit last year San Jose is in position to make the playoffs again this year with 44 points so far on the year. The question is will this be the year they finally win a cup?

95. . . . new york rangers. 13

The Rangers are sitting in third place in the Metro at the moment. If the season ended today they’d be playing the Devils in round one. With 47 points they’ve been around what most expected them to be this year. It looks like the Rangers will make the playoffs for the 11th time in the past 12 years.

. . . dallas stars. 12. 119

After a disappointing 2016-2017, the Stars are back in a playoff position as the calendar flips to the new year. Jamie Benn is holding things down with 37 points in 40 games. Ben Bishop has been a nice addition to the Stars.
