New York Islanders Daily: Josh Bailey Skating and Making Progress

Josh Bailey was skating at New York Islanders practice yesterday and looks to be making strides towards a return to the ice, which is great news.
Josh Bailey’s missed the last four games due to injury and the New York Islanders have certainly missed his presence. He has 50 points in the 42 games he has played this year, looking like he’ll break his previous career high of 56 from last year.
The top line that he’s a part of just hasn’t looked the same with Bailey gone. They’ve tried Alan Quine with John Tavares and Anders Lee and with all due respect to Quine he’s not nearly capable of playing top line minutes.
Luckily for the Islanders, they might be getting Bailey back very soon! Here’s a quick clip of him skating at practice yesterday:
There are even rumors that Bailey will be ready to go tonight in Boston which would be huge for the Islanders if that’s the case.
With the Islanders so decimated with injuries, it’s nice to finally get some good news on that front. Who would’ve thought that it would be Josh Bailey that is so desperately needed in this New York Islanders forward group?

Opinion: Islanders Need To Add A Defenseman
After a hot start, the New York Islanders have been fighting a mostly uphill battle ever since. Due to sub-par goaltending, as well as poor defensive play from a decimated defensive unit, the Islanders are on pace to allow nearly three hundred goals this season.
