The Eyes on Isles Podcast returns for episode number 23 as Matt and Mitch will discuss all things New York Islanders on and off the ice.

The New York Islanders have played three games since we last talked. Over that span, they are 1-1-1 with a rather disappointing outcome their last time out against the lowly Arizona Coyotes. We’ll have a lot to discuss.

We’ll talk about the last three games, Brock Nelson finally ending his streak, Anthony Beauvillier on fire and a look at trade deadline activity in years past.

Here’s what you can expect from episode 23:

Short Topics

Last three games: Bos, Chi, Arizona

The one step forward two steps back mantra seems to be in place again with this team. We’ll discuss what we’ve noticed from the play on the ice.

Beauvillier’s on fire

In his last seven games, Anthony Beauvillier has eight goals. He’s finally found a home on the second line and we’ll discuss what we think the Islanders should do about this line when Ladd is healthy and why his success isn’t too surprising.

Brock Nelson’s streak is over

After 55 periods and change, Brock Nelson was able to finally find the back of the net. All things must come to an end eventually. But the new tracker is up to three regulation periods without a goal.

Long Topic

We’re going to be looking at moves made at the deadline from 2005 to present day and see the likelihood of Garth Snow making a move. If you love breaking down Garth Snow’s habits this is going to be a really fun segment.

Social Segment

We decided to change it up this week and leave it as a surprise. I don’t know what Mitch is bringing to the table and he doesn’t know what I have so this can be an interesting one.
