New York Islanders: Pre-Deadline Trade Proposal Mega-List

Logan Stanley
Logan Stanley, LD- Age, 19. Height, 6-7. Weight, 227 lbs. Shoots- Left
Contract- $894,166, RFA after 19/20 season.
Drafted 18th overall in 2016 by Winnipeg. He has 34 points and 78 penalty minutes through 45 games in the OHL this season.
Here’s his scouting report from Eliteprospects.com:
"Stanley is a huge defensive minded defenseman. He loves to play physical and clear the crease, but also can chip in offensively when needed. He has become a nasty player that the other team dreads whenever he is on the ice. Very few players can match him physically due to his monster 6’7 frame, and he uses this to his advantage every game. He is a very consistent player who’s offensive game saw improvement during his draft year."
Sounds like what the Islanders need.
Sebastian Aho- Still with years of team control, this older age draftee has impressed in both his NHL and AHL debuts. While Stanley is a behemoth defender, Aho is a small sized playmaker.
Michael Dal Colle- Maybe Garth can pull the old “Time to give up on my 5th overall draft pick… lets make a trade!” Add him to the list.
2019 2nd round pick. The Jets are missing their 3rd rounder in 2019.
Future De-Pairings If The Trade Went Through
Leddy-Boychuk
Pelech-Pulock
Toews-Mayfield
Stanley, Vande Sompel in reserve
I’d hope Stanley could be ready next year, but wouldn’t be surprised if he needed some time in the AHL. It sounds like he could be the next Chris Pronger though.

Anyway, there you have them. Hope these proposals spark some fresh ideas for y’all. If you don’t agree with them, how would you change them? Were there other players you’d like to see the Islanders target instead?
