New York Islanders: Pre-Deadline Trade Proposal Mega-List

Trevor Lewis & Darcy Kuemper
Darcy Kuemper, G- Age, 27. Height, 6-5. Weight, 215. Catches- Left
Contract- $650,000, UFA after 17/18 season.
Kuemper is a big net presence who cut his teeth in Minnesota. He has a career save percentage of .912, but this year he’s up at .931. Although those stats may be inflated because of LA’s awesome defense he still seems like he’s playing a stronger game on the regular than some of the Islanders tendies.
Trevor Lewis, W- Age, 31. Height, 6-1. Weight, 199. Shoots- Right
Contract- $2 million, UFA after 19/20 season.
Lewis is a solid two-way player raised in the defensively sound Kings program. He’s versatile, physical, and useful on special teams, even earning Selke considerations last season. He would be a cheap, effective piece to help fill out the third line.
For Kuemper…
Thomas Greiss, G- Normally a solid tendy, Greiss is struggling with the Islanders run and gun play. I’m sure his numbers would bounce back playing for LA. They could even trade him in the offseason if they need cap space.
2018 2nd round pick
For Lewis…
Michael Dal Colle, LW- Supposedly he’s worked on his defensive game, which is important to LA. (and teams that want to be successful in general…)
Shane Prince, LW- A young, cheap bottom-six forward whose contract ends next year, moving him helps with the cap.
LA gets younger, except in net, but Jonathan Quick is their undisputed number one so that hardly matters.
Projected Lines
Lee-Tavares-Bailey
Beauvillier-Barzal-Eberle
Ladd-Nelson-Lewis
Chimera-Cizikas-Clutterbuck
Hopefully Kuemper would bring his high level of play with him, and he and Halak could battle for the net. The Isles would have options on who to re-sign after this season.
