New York Islanders Daily: Kieffer Bellows Returns Strong From Injury

New York Islanders prospect Kieffer Bellows had a strong return from an upper-body injury. He continues his high scoring year.

Kieffer Bellows has been a scoring machine for the Portland Winterhawks. The former first-round draft selection by the New York Islanders is having a monster year in the WHL and in the World Junior Tournament.

Bellows missed seven games due to injury this year but had an extremely strong week this past week in his return.

In his last seven games, Kieffer Bellows has 13 points. If you want to get even crazier he has five points (four goals, one assist) in his last three games since returning. That’s video game-like scoring from Bellows.

On the entire year, he has 52 points (26 goals, 26 assists) in 37 games. That’s utterly insane! Not to mention this year at Juniors, on the biggest stage for his level, he put up 10 points (9 goals, 1 assist) in seven games.

Kieffer Bellows is absolutely going to be a New York Islander next year. What else is left for this guy to prove? He said it himself that he wants to play for the Isles in 2018-2019 and I’m all for it.

A Bellows – Beauvillier – Ho-Sang third line has me salivating. A simple, in-house and cost-effective fix. It’s too easy not to happen.
