The Eyes on Isles Podcast returns for episode number 30 as Matt and Mitch will discuss all things New York Islanders on and off the ice.

The New York Islanders only played two games since the last time we spoke. Although one of the positives from their latest stretch is the emergence of Chris Gibson in net.

The Islanders got three out of the available four points in the past week but still don’t have much to show for in the playoff picture regard. As of today, they are eight points back of the final Wild Card spot.

Here’s what to look for in episode 30:

Short Topics

Last two games (EDM and CAL)

The Islanders lost in a shootout but got a great performance out of Chris Gibson, and then they followed that up with their first win in nearly a month.

Chris Gibson

In three starts Gibson has a .957 save percentage and a 1.91 goals against average. Is he a part of the Islanders future going forward?

President of Hockey Operations

Should the Islanders move Garth Snow to President of Hockey Operations? Mitch says yes, while I say no.

Long Topic

I released a 10 step plan to fix the franchise last weekend. We’ll go over the plan and if it’s actually sustainable for the team.

Social

Kevin Connolly’s no good, very bad hockey takes.

Next: Ilya Sorokin Likely To Stay In KHL
