New York Islanders: Anders Lee Scores In Team USA Win

New York Islanders forward Anders Lee scored in Team USA’s 9-3 win over Norway, as the US remains undefeated in the tournament.
With the New York Islanders missing out on the playoffs for the second year in a row, the closest thing we have to Islanders hockey is the IIHF World Tournament. The Islanders have seven players in this tournament including five for Team Canada.
We’ve spent a lot of time talking about Team Canada, and the Beauvillier – Barzal – Eberle line. But yesterday, Anders Lee playing for Team USA gave us a reason to be happy.
Anders Lee found the back of the net as the U.S. would go on to defeat Norway by a score of 9-3. It was your typical Anders Lee making things happen in front of the net goal.
When in doubt just feed Lee when he’s within five feet of the net. We’ve grown accustomed to these kinds of goals from Lee in an Islanders uniform. Over the past two years, Lee has 74 goals which is good enough for fifth in the league over that time.
You can catch Anders Lee and Team USA in action on Finland tomorrow at 12:15 pm.
