Anthony Beauvillier and Mathew Barzal have known each other for a long time, and the New York Islanders youthful duo had great chemistry this past year.

In the 2015 draft, the New York Islanders were able to snag Mathew Barzal and Anthony Beauvillier in the first round. So far both picks seem to be solid ones as they’re both in the Islanders long-term plans and growing as players.

2015 wasn’t the first time they were teammates. Beau and Barzy played together before when they were 14 years old and they’ve been friends for a while.

That’s why they were able to put together this bromance of a video:

The two are so funny together, they’re really close which is great because they’re linemates too. At the end of the 2017-2018 season, the Isles put Beau with Barzal and he came flying out of his shell.

After he was sent down to the AHL, for a very short time, Beauvillier came back with a vengeance on the second line and finished his season with 21 goals and 36 points on the season. Expect those numbers to go up if he plays with Barzal again.

Both Barzal and Beauvillier are 21-years-old and developing. They should be fun to watch together for hopefully the next decade.
