New York Islanders: 5 Most Likely Pieces To Be Traded By The End Of June

The New York Islanders are expected to have a bit of a facelift by the time next year starts. Lou Lamoriello will likely be busy this month making changes.
June is always a very busy month in the hockey world, despite there only being two teams left playing. Just last year the New York Islanders acquired Jordan Eberle in the month of June, it’s usually a time where big-time trades take place.
With the Islanders most recent addition, Lou Lamoriello, large and in charge expect June to be a busy month for him trying to improve the team.
Yes, July 1 is the most important date, finding out whether or not John Tavares will remain a New York Islander is the biggest thing this offseason but the team still needs to make improvements to their roster besides that.
In order to do so, the team is going to have to make some trades. Luckily for Lou Lamoriello and the Islanders the team does have some moveable assets that can yield them a goalie, top-four defenseman or both.
For a change, fans are oddly confident that the Islanders can get this done. Mostly, because Lou is in charge and Garth Snow, who still holds down the title of “General Manager” has no power to mess it up.
We’re going to take a look at the five most likely pieces that’ll be moved this month.
