New York Islanders Daily: Jon Ledecky At Belmont

New York Islanders owner Jon Ledecky was seen at the Belmont Stakes talking up the Islanders new arena which should be good to go by 2021.
Belmont Park is synonymous with the Belmont Stakes, it’s the one time a year they pack that place to the brim especially if there’s a chance for a triple crown. Well, in a few years they’re going to have to add the New York Islanders to that list of things you think about when you hear Belmont.
This past weekend, Jon Ledecky was at Belmont Park for the race and he was able to talk about the Islanders new arena which should be opening in three years.
Ledecky doesn’t just think the project will be good for the Islanders, it’ll be great for the community:
"“I think this can be a project that can really become, if we do it correctly, one of the great entertainment venues,” Ledecky said. “An entertainment district.”"
Despite what six protestors think, this will be good for the community of Elmont. Not only do you have a brand new arena, but it creates jobs, and various other business with the Islanders building plans.
It’s really going to be interesting to see what happens the next few years as the developing takes place. Ledecky being at the Stakes was just another reminder that this is really happening, and things are going in the right direction for this team under this ownership.
