New York Islanders Good Bad of Five Teams Speaking to John Tavares

Dallas Stars
Should Worry About
The Dallas Stars are a dork horse but an interesting choice. They have Jamie Benn and Tyler Seguin in their prime right now, each who put up over 75 points and 35 goals last year.
Adding Tavares down the middle would really sure up that offense, and they’d be even scarier than they already were.
With Ben Bishop in net, and the thought of playing on the same line with Jamie Benn, it’s pretty tempting I couldn’t lie. Dallas also should have the cap room to squeeze him in with some finagling of course.
Shouldn’t Worry About
Even with the Stars solid top-six and strong goalie, they’ve missed the playoffs three out of the last five years. They’re really not that close to being a contender.
Tavares has said all along that he wants to compete for a championship so why should he leave for a team that’s finished sixth in three of the last four years.

Just because Dallas can dangle Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn in front of him doesn’t make Dallas a premiere choice.
