New York Islanders: Eyes on Isles Podcast Ep 50 Preview

The Eyes on Isles Podcast returns for episode number 50 as Matt and Mitch will discuss all things New York Islanders on and off the ice.
With Mitch heading on vacation, we get to do the Eyes on Isles podcast early this week. On this week’s show, the biggest story is the New York Islanders adding Mitch Korn to the staff as Director of Goaltending.
We’ll get into whether or not this is a good hire, we’ll play a little over/under with Matt Martin, Oliver Wahlstrom is heading to Boston College instead of training camp, and the right wing depth chart for this year.
Here’s what you can expect from episode 50:
Topics
Islanders hire Mitch Korn
Many wanted Mitch Korn as the goalie coach, but he will now serve as the Director of Goaltending. Korn has worked with Braden Holtby and Pekka Rinne to name a few. We’ll talk about why this is a great hire for the Islanders.
Matt Martin over/under 41 games
We’ll get into whether or not Matt Martin will play more than half the season. The crowded bottom six will likely factor into our discussion as well.
Oliver Wahlstrom his headed to college
Oliver Wahlstrom is heading to Boston College instead of training camp. It’s not too surprising but we’ll get into what it means for him and the Isles.
Right-wing depth chart
Last week we looked at the left wingers, this week we’ll look at the right wingers and the Islanders depth at the position.
Social
In the social segment, we’ll answer questions and talk about the biggest stuff from Isles Twitter this past week.
Next. Wahlstrom won't attend training camp
