The Eyes on Isles Podcast returns for episode number 58 as Matt and Mitch will discuss all things New York Islanders on and off the ice.

Hockey is creeping back slowly as the preseason schedule is winding down for the New York Islanders and we get ready to do this thing for real next week. We’re back with episode 58 to give you the latest from the preseason.

The show will start off by giving you an update on the roster. Who got sent back to juniors, who is in the AHL, and who made the team. Spoiler alert, that one’s not too pretty. We’ll get into Josh Bailey and how he’ll be just fine without John Tavares, despite what Twitter thinks.

Sergei Bobrovsky has also been linked to the Islanders by some, would that be a good move or a bad move for the Islanders if they pursued.

Here’s what you can expect from episode 58:

Roster Update

The Islanders decided to send down Josh Ho-Sang and Kieffer Bellows while signing Luca Sbisa to a one-year deal. Expect a lot of yelling in this segment.

Josh Bailey will be just fine without Tavares

Everyone thinks that Josh Bailey is going to struggle this year. He might not put up 70 points but we’ll talk about why we expect him to have a good season again this year.

Sergei Bobrovsky

Bobrovsky to the Islanders? Some think it could happen and we’ll chat about whether or not it’s worthwhile.
