New York Islanders: 25 Bold Predictions For 2018-2019 Season

10: Anders Lee finishes top-10 in goals
Last year for the first time in his career Anders Lee eclipsed the 40 goal mark. Almost no one has been more productive than Anders Lee when it comes to goal scoring in the NHL.
Lee’s now the best power forward, and he will continue to play like one in 2018-2019 giving him a chance to be in the top-10 in the league in goal scoring. Last year, with 40 goals he was seventh, behind Connor McDavid.
The one thing that’ll change for Lee this year is his linemates. Lee will likely play on the second line as Anthony Beauvillier will stick with Mathew Barzal on the top line for the New York Islanders.
So playing alongside Josh Bailey and Brock Nelson, Lee should be given plenty of opportunities to find the back of the net. That’s just talking about five on five, Lee should continue to be a force on the power play also.
On a very good power play unit, Lee had 14 goals. This unit can be even better than last year’s so to expect him to finish with 38-42 goals (what it would likely take to crack the top-10 isn’t crazy. If he does that he’ll become a very rich man this July.
