1: Barzal finishes with more points than Tavares

It happened just this past year, but it will mean even more if Mathew Barzal finishes with more points than Pajama Boy in 2018-2019.

For obvious reasons, there’s a lot of disdain towards John Tavares from the New York Islanders faithful. Seeing him struggle, or not win, would help ease the pain of losing the best thing to happen to this franchise since the dynasty years.

In his sophomore season, I think Barzal eclipses the 90 point mark. Something like 29 goals and 62 points for a solid 91 points on the number (see what I did there with my prediction). While John Tavares finishes something like 80 points with the Maple Leafs while they get bounced in the first round by Boston.

Yes, Toronto is better than the Islanders but Mathew Barzal will have fans forgetting about the man who should no longer be talked about.
