New York Islanders: 25 Bold Predictions For 2018-2019 Season

23: Ryan Pulock has 15 or more goals
It’s crazy to think that Ryan Pulock started out last year as a healthy scratch. Actually, it’s wild that he only played one (1) game in 2016-2017 but that’s a story for another day. Ryan Pulock ended up playing 68 games and he was fantastic.
In those 68 games, he had 32 points (10 goals, 22 assists). That’s a pace of 39 points over a full 82 games. For someone in his first year in the league, that’s great.
Pulock is a legitimate problem on the power play. Five of his 10 goals came on the man advantage. He also had five power play goals playing in the AHL in the previous season. Pulock’s a guy with a booming right-handed shot that looks primed for a big season.
With a real NHL coach behind the bench, I’m fairly confident that Pulock and the gang are able to be better in both zones.
Something like 15 goals and 44 points sounds like a pretty good number for Ryan Pulock. For someone who is about to turn 24 years old, he’s a fantastic piece to build the defense around going forward.
