Players To Watch

New York Islanders

New York Islanders. . Jordan Eberle. RW.

Jordan Eberle is without a point through the Islanders first three games of the season. It’s by no means a reason to panic but it’s something to watch as he tries to get on the scoresheet. Eberle is eventually going to find the net, he, just like the rest of the team, have had to adjust to a new system.

For Eberle, it goes a step further. He’s had to get used to new linemates. Last season he spent the majority of the time with Mathew Barzal, now he’s with Brock Nelson. To be fair, he also has 40 goal scorer and new team captain Anders Lee on his line.

Eberle is gonna want to get the puck in the net and get the monkey off his back as soon as possible.

Nashville Predators

. Nashville Predators. . Viktor Arvidsson. LW

The last time these two teams played Arvidsson scored a ridiculous goal. He made Ryan Pulock look like an absolute novice at his position as Arvidsson went between his own legs to open a path towards the net. Where Arvidsson buried his first of the year.

He wasn’t done there. Arvidsson would add a second later in the second period to push the Predators lead to 4-2. That second goal proved to be the winner as the Predators stole the game from under the Isles nose.

The Islanders will have to watch the shifty forward who’s put up three points in four games played.
