The Eyes on Isles Podcast returns for episode number 61 as Matt and Mitch will discuss all things New York Islanders on and off the ice.

It was a slow week for the New York Islanders as they only played one game since the last time we spoke for episode number 60. The early parts of the NHL schedule has been weird but both the podcast and the Islanders return tonight.

This week we’ll be discussing Anthony Beauvillier and his struggles through four games, Andrew Ladd’s return to the lineup, William Nylander and if he’ll actually be traded, and also the Belmont construction.

Here’s what you can expect from episode 61:

Topics

Beauvillier Struggles

Anthony Beauvillier has been held pointless through the Islanders first few games this year. A demotion off the top line might be coming and we’re not sure if it’s the best thing for him.

Andrew Ladd’s return

Andrew Ladd returned to the lineup with a bang. He scored a goal thanks to a nice play by Mathew Barzal in Nashville. We’ll also get into the bottom six taking up so much of the cap.

William Nylander

William Nylander is still not signed so do the Islanders have a realistic shot to trade for him? Would Nick Leddy be fair compensation for the young forward?

Belmont construction in May

The Belmont arena is set to begin construction in May. Will they be able to stay on track for their date? And what’s the overall excitement level?

Social Segment

In the social segment, we’ll answer questions and talk about the biggest stuff from Isles Twitter this past week.
