New York Islanders Daily: Josh Bailey Leads Isles Overall Offense

New York Islanders forward Josh Bailey leads the Islanders and is top-15 in the league in percentage of offensive contribution.
It’s no secret for the third year in a row, Josh Bailey has been one of the most productive New York Islanders on the roster. After a 71 point season last year, Bailey has 11 in 10 games so far and is one of the main reasons the Isles offense is working.
Dimitri Filipovic put out a list of the top players who are most responsible for their team’s offense. To no surprise, Connor McDavid tops the list at 44.83 percent, meaning he’s responsible for nearly 45 percent of the Oilers total offense.
But, coming in at 15th with a 33.33 percent is Mr. Josh Bailey. Bailey is responsible for a third of the Islanders offense.
One out of every three goals scored has something to do with Josh Bailey which is crazy to think about but it’s the truth. He ranks better than the likes of Brad Marchand, Patrice Bergeron, Auston Matthews, Matt Duchene, Evgeni Malkin, and Tyler Seguin. Impressive stuff.
This is the same guy many expected to crumble with the loss of John Tavares, yet neither he or Anders Lee have slowed down a lick.
