After letting in five goals and posting a 0.556SV% against the New York Islanders the other night, Matt Murray will look to bounce back. He’ll be looking to avenge himself against a team that made him look silly just a few nights before.

The Islanders won’t have the same number of opportunities again tonight, and even when they are presented with an opportunity Murray will be extra motivated to close the door.

Evgeni Malkin

How is this guy not one of the best 100 players in NHL history? Malkin does everything and he does it at an absolutely elite level. Malkin routinely makes things look easy.

He’s been Pittsburgh’s primary offensive threat in this early season. You can count on Malkin putting up a point or two against the Islanders tonight.

Brock Nelson

The calendar has changed to November. Meaning that Brocktober is officially over. But with the faith that Barry Trotz has shown in Brock Nelson, I firmly believe that Nelson will keep up his current pace.

Watch him to come out and play a big game tonight just to change the narrative. It’s going to take a consistent effort that extends well through November to actually change the Brocktober narrative, but scoring on the first day after October will be huge.

Thomas Greiss steps into the starter role (temporarily) for the third time in three years for the New York Islanders. He’s going to get peppered with shots by the Penguins tonight.
