The Eyes on Isles Podcast returns for episode number 64 as Matt and Mitch will discuss all things New York Islanders on and off the ice.

Another week of hockey is in the books for the New York Islanders and we are back to talk all things Islanders on the latest Eyes on Isles podcast. The Islanders have points in seven straight games and the prospects are flourishing.

On this week’s episode, we will dive into Josh Ho-Sang and his success since joining the top line. After that we’ll chat about Thomas Greiss and his insane start to the season.

Oddly enough the last time the team won five games in a row was when John Tavares was hurt at the end of 2016-2017, so we’ll get into that. Then with the Islanders young pup, Mathew Barzal is there reason to worry?

Here’s what to expect from tonight’s episode:

Topics

Josh Ho-Sang

Since calling out the Sound Tigers, Josh Ho-Sang has 10 points in his last four games. It’s almost like top-six players are better in a top-six role.

Thomas Greiss’ Numbers

Thomas Greiss has been fantastic this year, especially when he stopped 102 out of 105 shots on three consecutive shots. He has a .940 save percentage in nine games.

Last time they went 5-0

Did you know the last time the Islanders won five in a row was when John Tavares was hurt in 2016-2017? Is there a correlation?

Are we worried about Mathew Barzal?

Barzal’s struggled a bit lately, is it time to worry about Barzal and a sophomore slump or will he snap back around soon?

Social

In the social segment, we’ll answer questions and talk about the biggest stuff from Isles Twitter this past week.
