Cap Hit: $3.75 million
Production: 18 points, 22 games

The New York Islanders captain has one great deal. His cap his in 2018-19 is a low $3.75 million. And he isn’t even close to being on pace to match his 40 goals from last season.

Anders Lee has seven goals in 22 games this season that puts him on pace for 26 goals this season. That would be his lowest return in three seasons. In terms of goals that is.

The captain has another eleven helpers to his name this season. That’s 18 points in 22 games, putting him on pace for 67 points this season. That’s a career high for Lee.

The former sixth-round pick in 2009 has added more to his game than simply standing in front of the next and using his out of this world dexterity to deflect pucks into the net.

And keep in mind the Islanders power-play is an absolute nightmare right now. Once the Isles figure out what the problem is and address it expect Anders Lee to get a number of them, upping his 26 goal pace for the year.

At worse, Anders Lee is on pace for almost 30 goals this season and is making just a bit more than a fourth line winger whose scored three goals in the last ten months.

Lee is also the captain. Now I know it’s hard to put a dollar sign on an intangible like leadership, but after the last leader the Islanders had Lee means so much to this team.
