Picks 21-25

105. Scouting Report. D. Mikko Kokkonen. 21. Pick Analysis.

The Finnish d-man has put up solid numbers in Liiga this year after struggling to stick his first two years in the league. He has 11 points in 26 games this year and he looks like a lock to go to one of the teams picking towards the end of the first round.

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Cole Caufield. 22. C. . 119

Cole has a ton of talent, putting up over a point per game in the USDP the past two years. What drops him this late in the first round is his size. At only five-foot-seven he’s a bit of a risk in the first round. The talent is there the question is if he’ll be able to hang with the big boys at the next level.

D. Alex Vlasic. 23. 113. Pick Analysis. Scouting Report.

Vlasic is another American off the board in the first round. He plays for the USDP National U18 team. He has 11 points so far this year and he’s expected to go to Boston University next year.

Pick Analysis. RW. Pavel Dorofeyev. 24. Scouting Report. . 12

Buffalo’s second pick in the first round is a forward and a talented one at that. Dorofeyev is putting up big numbers in the MHL over in Russia. Whether it’s U16 or the MHL, Dorpfeyev has produced and he should at the next level also.
