New York Islanders Five Christmas Gifts For Players and Management

Ryan Pulock | Prescription Glasses
Ryan Pulock has emerged as the best Islanders defenseman this year. He’s been very good in the defensive zone, but the offensive play has dipped a little bit. He’s on pace for 36 which is a slight upgrade from last year, but many assumed he’d eclipse 40 points.
One of the things that is synonymous with Ryan Pulock is his shot. He already has 71 shots on goal this year but it could be a lot more than that.
Unfortunately with Pulock he misses the net quite often when letting that powerful shot rip from the blue line. So in order to combat that, I think it would be appropriate if we got Ryan Pulock some prescription glasses.
Perhaps he just can’t see the net? Fun fact, I once had a bad baseball season in little league and I felt like I couldn’t see the ball that well. Well, I needed glasses, that was the issue. Don’t rule it out for Pulock!
If Pulock is able to get more pucks on net, his goal total will climb up and he can easily be someone who scores 12-15 goals from the blue line. Although it’s hard for me to complain about a 24-year-old playing over 20 minutes a night for the first time in his career, and holding his own might I add.
