New York Islanders Five Christmas Gifts For Players and Management

Anthony Beauvillier | Alarm Clock
The last two years have been kind of strange for Anthony Beauvillier. Last year it took a trip to the AHL for Beau to come alive. Once he did he went on to have a phenomenal second half building chemistry with Mathew Barzal.
He finished the year with 36 points (21 goals, 15 assists) and his expectations went through the roof for 2018-2019. Frankly, Barzal didn’t have the start that he would’ve liked. He had just one point in his first 16 games this year.
There were murmurs about sending him down to the AHL, in favor of someone like Josh Ho-Sang. Luckily, Beau caught fire and since the one point in 16 games he has 12 in the last 17 games.
Since it’s clear Anthony Beauvillier doesn’t know there’s a full 82 game season that starts in October, we’ll get him an alarm clock. That way, Anthony can set the alarm for October 1st and he can give a full 82 game effort.
For the record, I fully expect Beauvillier to be more consistent going forward. With the help of his brand new alarm clock, there’s no chance of him missing the first part of the season.
