Beauvillier Scores 50 Points

He has 16 points to his name right now. So how does Anthony Beauvillier pick up another 34 points in 43 games exactly? How does he go from bottom six production to top six production with half of the 2018-19 season already played?

First of all these are bold predictions for a reason. They aren’t easy calls to make and they require a certain leap of faith in order for them to potentially come true. As is the case for Anthony Beauvillier becoming a 50 point player with 43 games to play.

To get to 50 Beau has to hit a pace of 0.79 points-per-game. Scoring at a 0.79 point-per-game pace for the remainder of the season is difficult to imagine when Beau has scored at a 0.42 point-per-game pace since the puck was dropped on the 2018-19 season.

But we’ve seen Beauvillier turn it on later in the season before. Just last year, after coming back from a stint in the AHL with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, Beauvillier scored 28 points in 39 games for a point pace of 0.72 points-per-game.

With a ton of games still to play in the NHL season and with linemate Mathew Barzal looking unstoppable at the moment Anthony Beauvillier should be on the receiving end of a few apples and even more goal scoring opportunities. Let alone what Beauvillier can conjure up on his own.

A 50 point season is feasible for Anthony Beauvillier. He’s just got to get back to what made him so successful at the halfway mark of 2017-18.
