Team: Arizona Coyotes

RW Depth Chart: Clayton Keller, “Marian Hossa”
Why them?

The Arizona Coyotes don’t have right-wing players. Clayton Keller is one heck of a player it seems but after him on the Coyotes depth chart, in terms of skill, is Marian Hossa. Hossa! A player that is retired from the NHL. He’s their second best right-handed forward. He isn’t playing!

If the Coyotes hope to escape the basement of the Pacific division they perpetually find themselves in they have to start adding talent. In every position. Jordan Eberle is talent. Pair him next to the offensive skill of an Alex Galchenyuk and the Coyotes have a pretty good duo offensively.

With the amount of cap space, the Coyotes have they could certainly extend an incredible offer for Eberle to stay there and help stabilize a franchise that desperately needs his services.

Who Do We Want: ?

That’s the $1,000,000 question. What could the New York Islanders want from the Arizona Coyotes? At the moment the Islanders could use a center to slot behind Mathew Barzal and maybe just ahead of Brock Nelson. But the Coyotes don’t necessarily have one.

It’s not that they don’t have centers, but it’s either they have one we don’t want (Derek Stepan) or one we can’t have for reasons already listed (Alex Galchenyuk).

After the centers, players like Antti Raanta or Oliver Ekman-Larsson could peak the Islanders interest. One could serve as the bridge to Ilya Sorokin while the other could serve as a great follow-up or successor to Nick Leddy on the Isles blue line. Getting either (we can’t have both) won’t be easy and require much more than Eberle.
