New York Islanders Daily: Don’t Look Past This Team

With the Super Bowl over, many are counting down to pitchers and catchers. We’re here to remind you not to look past this New York Islanders season.
if you’re a die-hard New York Islanders fan this isn’t for you. We know there’s no way you’re looking past this Islanders season. This goes out to the people who post-Super Bowl are counting down to pitchers and catchers.
It’s a common theme. The Super Bowl ends, people get sad, and then someone tweets out how much longer until pitchers and catchers report for the MLB.
I get being excited for baseball, it’s not a knock on the sport, I love it myself and played it into my college years, it’s a blatant disrespect for the best team in New York right now that bothers me with this logic.
New York Sports Fans complain about not having a good product to root for when a first-place team is right in front of them. The prevailing thought in the city is that outside of the Yankees New York Sports is atrocious, and that’s simply not true.
The Islanders have a 95 percent chance to make the playoffs, they’re in first place, and they’re a fun storyline yet the majority of New York sports fans are counting down until fake baseball is being played.
It’s a real head scratcher to me. Now’s the perfect time to hop onto the bandwagon, all are welcome.
