New York Islanders Top 5 Weekly Highlights: Mathew Barzal Clutch Goal

Mathew Barzal Comes Up Clutch
At the 13:15 mark of the third period against the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday night, the New York Islanders went down 2-1 thanks to an Ilya Kovalchuk goal.
There was still plenty of time to get back in the game, but with the way the Islanders were playing up to that point a come back didn’t look like it was coming.
A full 30 seconds later, again thanks to a heavy Ryan Pulock pass Mathew Barzal redirected the puck through Jonathan Quick to level the game at two.
It was the perfect response after going a goal down. Again, the Islanders hadn’t looked great all game and the Kings probably deserved to go up. But good teams find a way. They dig deep and find an extra gear. That’s exactly what took place, and who better than Mathew Barzal to get it done.
