The German-born defenseman stands in six-foot-four, and 198 pounds at just 17 years old. He’s an extremely big body for 17 years old and displays a powerful right-handed shot. In the U20 tournament, he had seven points in five games while captaining the team.

The Dallas Stars made the playoffs, and it only took the team’s CEO to call out Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn to get there. No top half draft pick for the Stars this year! They still pick Philip Broberg 17th overall. Broberg is an excellent skater with great size (6’3″ 200lbs). He should fit right in with the Stars.

Raphael Lavoie has been a goal scoring machine during his time in the QMJHL. The 18-year-old has put up 30 goals in each of the past two years. With a right-handed shot he can play either center or on the right wing.

The 17-year-old American is a left wing with good size. Playing in the OHL he skyrocketed with 102 points (51 goals, 51 assists). Buffalo nabs an elite level scorer towards the back of the first round a solid pick for the Sabres.

Carolina nabs Cole Caufield, the future product of the University of Wisconsin. In 51 games in the USDP this year Caufield has 75 points (52 goals, 23 assists). He’s a legit goal scoring threat who has had success at each level he’s played in.
