After a second-round exit, the New York Islanders can now look ahead at their pending free agents. They have several restricted free agents and unrestricted free agents that they can either re-sign or let walk.

New York Islanders general manager Lou Lamoriello made some questionable signings during his first off-season with the team. Signing the likes of center Valtteri Filppula and Leo Komarov. However, Lou was a step behind every other team because of former captain, John Tavares, stringing the team along.

Now that Lamoriello has had a full season to evaluate the current Islanders roster, it will be interesting to see which pending free agents he decides to bring back and who he lets walk in free agency.

At the moment, the New York Islanders have a few restricted free agents or RFAs. The talents of left wings Anthony Beauvillier and Michael Dal Colle, and right wing Josh Ho-Sang are included in this group.

Additionally, the Islanders have a plethora of unrestricted free agents or UFAs, that the team needs to make a decision on. This group includes centers Valtteri Filppula, Tanner Fritz, Stephen Gionta, and Brock Nelson; right wings Tom Kuhnhackl, Steve Bernier, and Jordan Eberle; left wing Anders Lee; defensemen Dennis Seidenberg and Luca Sbisa; and goalie Robin Lehner.
