Bode Wilde showed the hockey world why he should have been taken in the first round. Through 62 games with the Saginaw Spirit of the OHL, he scored 70 points from the back end. Again, he was drafted 41st overall in last years draft. He’s absolutely the steal of the 2018 draft.

Teammate and a fifth-round pick from 2018, Blade Jenkins had a strong season as well with 59 points in 67 games.

The output for Noah Dobson might seem a little low, but consider that for the first part of the season the 12th overall pick from 2018 was playing with the Acadie-Bathurst Titans who finished the season with eight wins and 22 points. When he was traded to the league-leading Huskies that turned around.

At the moment Dobson has 26 points in 18 playoff games as the Huskies are headed to the CHL’s four-team Memorial Cup tournament. If he wins the Memorial Cup it would be the second time in two seasons for the Islanders first-round pick.
