With June right around the corner, it’s prime prediction season. Who will the New York Islanders come away with in trades and free agency?
Now that memorial day weekend is over, all that’s left is sunburns and hangovers. Being back at the office today is one of the worst days of the entire year. That’s why I wanted to make it a little fun with some New York Islanders predictions.
I wanted to go through and give my predictions on how the Islanders will handle trades and free agency. It’s a mix of both what I think the Islanders will do and how I would do things if I was in charge of the Islanders.
June is actually one of the more active times for trades to happen. For one, the draft happens in June which is one of the key factors to trades being made. It’s also right before free agency which teams like to start wheeling and dealing before the July 1 mayhem.
If you remember, the big Jordan Eberle trade happened in June right before the draft. Also, at the end of June teams can start talking to UFA’s which usually allows for craziness to ensue.
Here are my predictions for what happens with the Islanders in trades and free agency
