The Eyes on Isles Podcast returns for episode number 95 as Matt and Mitch will discuss all things New York Islanders on and off the ice.

Tonight the hockey season will come to a close. There will be a new Stanley Cup Champion, whether it’s Boston or St Louis is yet to be seen, but that means that every other team will be just like the New York Islanders, waiting for the offseason festivities.

This week it appears like we found out that Nick Leddy isn’t the only defenseman being shopped. Apparently, Thomas Hickey is on the block as well. Both have three years left on their deal and could be used in a package for a forward.

We also wanted to talk about Bode Wilde and the number of games that he played. Is games played important and what effect did games played have an effect on Kieffer Bellows and Oliver Wahlstrom.

Jeff Skinner, a potential Islanders free agent target, signed an extension in Buffalo. Now, where do the Isles pivot and does this deal have any impact on Anders Lee’s negotiations?

Here’s what you can expect from episode 95:

Topics

Hickey and Leddy

Which one of these two is more likely to be moved and for what. Why are these guys on the trading block to begin with?

Bode Wilde in the OHL

Does playing more games in a season help your development? Wilde played a 62 game season last year which is way more than he would’ve played in college.

Jeff Skinner extension effect

A potential free agent target was taken off the board. What does that mean for the Isles in free agency and in negotiations with Anders Lee?
