Hearing From Lou

We knew what to expect from the Islanders in 2018-19. We had to wait till the start of training camp but we eventually got the answers. The Islanders were going to look at the vets see what they had and then go from there.

Lou brought in veteran players he could trust to fill a role and do a job. Veterans that could “play both sides of the puck, had tremendous character and had been in winning situations” (Fast forward to 2:55 mark of the video.)

Now here we are with the calendar flipping to August and we haven’t heard a single word from Lou on the matter of free agency or what might happen going forward.

Of course, it’s Lou’s way. He talks when he wants to talk and only says what he wants to say. And that will likely continue until training camp opens in September. But at this point, I’ll take a boring Lou phone in, just for the faint possibility that I might learn what the plan is.
