Looking over a seemingly endless supply of New York Islanders concept jerseys, which ones stand out, and which ones would make for a good third jersey?

During our last New York Islanders mailbag Patreon show, patron Brandon Brian asked Matt and me what our ideal third jersey would be. Whether a re-imagined third, an old favorite or totally new idea.

On the show, I brought up one that I had mentioned this time last summer. It was a reimagined version of the fisherman jersey with a black and white logo and lighthouse shoulder badges on a field of teal with orange highlights. To me, it’s one of the most eye-catching conceptual jerseys out there.

You can see it here.

It’s not for everyone, I know. The fisherman logo is something a number of fans would rather forget than to bring back into the spotlight. I get it. The fisherman logo represents a low point in the franchise’s history that few are willing to relive.

Brandon’s question got me thinking. What have other fans come up with in the past. Icethetics has a pretty active community of followers that often create jersey concepts of their own. Going through the endless number of concepts, which ones stand out the most (to me). Here are five concepts that I particularly enjoyed, in order.

Of course, this is an entirely subjective list. If you have one you prefer, let me know in the comments.
