New York Islanders: Top 25 Under 25 2019-2020 Edition

Number 10: Josh Ho-Sang (Right Wing) | Age: 23
Bridgeport Sound Tigers Stats: 8 G, 35 A, 43 PTS
New York Islanders Stats: 1 G, 1 A, 2 PTS
The Josh Ho-Sang saga is such an interesting one. By now, everyone knows the story and you either love or you hate Josh Ho-Sang there’s no in-between. Last year, was certainly a bumpy ride for JHS.
In his Bridgeport sample size, he started slow and even got scratched and put on the fourth line a few times. After asking for a bigger role, Ho-Sang thrived finishing with 43 points and a 0.77 points per game pace.
In the NHL, he had just two points in 10 games but according to the advanced numbers he made others around him better. Heading into this season you’d think that he would have a pretty good shot of making the team despite their rocky past.
With the current hole in the top-six and no rumblings of a trade, JHS has the most experience out of any Islander prospect in a top-six role. If we know anything, we know Barry Trotz and Lou Lamoriello prefer to go with guys who have experience.
(Please give me a Bailey – Nelson – Ho-Sang second line if you’re not going to make a trade)
