Number 2: Ryan Pulock (Defense) | Age: 24

New York Islanders Stats: 9 G, 28 A, 37 PTS

The New York Islanders have found their number one defenseman. Coming off a breakout season in 2017-2018 Ryan Pulock was even better this year despite not being on the same points pace as the previous year.

Pulock’s ice time increased dramatically. He averaged 22:22 of ice time per game, nearly four minutes more per game and was phenomenal.

Pulock is good on five-on-five, the penalty kill, and even the power play. Heck, if the Isles have even a mediocre power play last year he probably puts up 40+ points. Expectations are through the roof for this kid.

Luckily, the Isles have him at one more year at $2 million before he is due a major raise. Is he going to get Jacob Trouba money by this time next year?
