Number 22: Bobo Carpenter (Center) | Age: 22

Boston University: 10G, 9A, 19PTS
Bobo Carpenter was never drafted by an NHL team. After a 2014-15 season with the Sioux City Musketeers that saw him net 63 points in 60 games, Carpenter joined Boston University.

He spent the last four years playing for Boston University in the NCAA. In his final year, he captained the team.

In those four years, Carpenter got to play with some incredibly talented and NHL-bound players. He played with Charlie McAvoy, Jakob Forsbacka-Karlsson, Brady Tkachuk, Clayton Keller, and even a season Kieffer Bellows.

Over those four seasons with B.U. Carpenter played 144 games and scored 102 points. Including the 2017-18 season where he had 20 goals and 35 points and lead his team in scoring.

After signing with the New York Islanders in the offseason, Carpenter will join up with Kieffer Bellows once again at the AHL level.

And with the recent liquidation of leadership at the AHL level, Carpenter, as well as some of the other college free agents the Isles signed, will be asked to be leaders for the Sound Tigers.

That should suit Carpenter just fine.
We’re still not sure what to expect from Carpenter. But Carpenter will play an important role offensively for the Bridgeport Sound Tigers this season. The 22-year-old tenacious forward has a lot to offer and a lot of time to grow into an NHL’er like his father.
