The Eyes on Isles Podcast returns for episode number 105 as Matt and Mitch will discuss all things New York Islanders on and off the ice.

We’re reaching the last couple of weeks of summer before labor day rolls around which means we are that much closer to New York Islanders hockey. Even though it’s August, we still have a lot of stuff to go over for the New York Islanders.

Lou put his money where his mouth was and signed both Michael Dal Colle and Josh Ho-Sang. He hinted that two RFA deals were done already and just days later it came out that MDC and JHS were signed to new deals.

Also this week, RFA Patrik Laine refused to commit to the Winnipeg Jets. If he is available the Islanders should do whatever it takes to get him in here.

We also found out that Anthony Beauvillier might be moving back to center. Is he a good candidate for that third-line center role?

Here’s what you can expect from episode 105:

Topics

Josh Ho-Sang and Michael Dal Colle signed

Dal Colle signed a two-year deal while Josh Ho-Sang signed his one-year qualifying offer. What will their roles be for the Islanders in 2019-2020 and are the deals fair for both guys?

Patrik Laine won’t commit to Winnipeg

Laine was interviewed by Sportsnet and he wasn’t very convincing that he would be staying with the Jets. Should the Islanders trade for him and what would you give up

Beau will audition for center role

Is Anthony Beauvillier the answer to the Islanders third line center questions? We’ll discuss who the third line options are and which makes the most sense.
