The Eyes on Isles Podcast returns for episode number 113 as Matt and Mitch will discuss all things New York Islanders on and off the ice.
The New York Islanders went 2-1 this week, with the two wins needing overtime or a shootout. Now, the Islanders sit at 3-3 on the season with their first road trip of the year starting tomorrow.
On Monday, we saw the debut of Oliver Wahlstrom. Wahlstrom was taken by the Islanders in the first round of the 2018 draft with high expectations. Now, he looks like he belongs and we think he might be sticking around in the Islanders top-six.
Through six games, the Islanders are in the bottom half of the league in goals. Lou Lamoriello has his team with Michael Dal Colle and Tom Kuhnhackl in the top-six. Yes, I’m happy that he’s in charge but he shouldn’t get a pass just because of his name.
It’s pretty obvious that the Isles need another piece that’s why we will also discuss three teams that Lou Lamoriello can trade with.
Here’s what to expect from episode 113:

Lou Lamoriello shouldn’t get a pass just because of his name. Also, it’s okay to criticize someone and still want them to be your General Manager.
Teams to call for a trade
We will go through the different teams of who would make the most sense to trade with.
