The Illness bug continues with Anthony Beauvillier and Noah Dobson. The New York Islanders are dropping like flies.

It all started with Leo Komarov. Uncle Leo has been sick for the better part of two weeks, and now it’s hitting other Islanders as Anthony Beauvillier and Noah Dobson missed practice due to an illness as well.

This kind of reminds me of when like half the Penguins roster had the mumps a few years back. This is part of the problem when you’re around the same people all the time you start to catch the bugs that they have too.

The Islanders didn’t disclose what was bothering them but one could assume it’s a really bad flu if it’s kept Leo Komarov out for going on two weeks.

Beauvillier has stepped up in a bigger role with the team so far this year. He’s been pretty solid offensively and he’s even gotten a decent amount of penalty kill time as well, averaging 1:12 per game on the unit.

With Dobson, he hasn’t gotten a ton of playing time, just three games, but you don’t want to see the kid sick and miss even more time. Hopefully, it’s just a couple of days and then back on the ice for these two.

The Islanders can’t afford to be without yet another top-six forward for very long.
