The Eyes on Isles Podcast returns for episode number 120 as Matt and Mitch will discuss all things New York Islanders on and off the ice.

Last night left a rough taste in the mouths of New York Islanders fans. They came out flat against a really bad Montreal Canadiens team, who previously lost nine games in a row. We’ll start off by going over the games briefly and plugging the Patreon.

After going 14 games without a goal, Jordan Eberle got on the board with not one but two goals against the Detroit Red Wings. Eberle wasn’t the only top-six forward who was struggling at the time though.

Anders Lee went a long time without a goal as well. He exploded for two goals in two games, ending his 11 game streak without a goal.

The rumor mill has been cooking as well. We’ll chat about Taylor Hall, the pros and cons and what the cost would be. Here’s what you can expect from episode 120:

Topics

Games

We will discuss the Islanders three games they played since we last talk. The Isles went 2-1 over that time but left a really underwhelming taste in our mouth with their performance in Montreal.

Snapping Goalless Streak

Both Jordan Eberle and Anders Lee ended the streak. For Eberle it was 14 games without a goal and Lee went 11 games. Will they heat up in the second half?

Taylor Hall trade scenarios

Pros and cons of trading for Taylor Hall and what it would take for the Islanders to land a player of that caliber.

Quiz

I have no idea what Mitch has in store for us this week as we’ve reached the 2019 draft last week. Stay tuned, as it will be a surprise for me also tonight.
